Brandon Johnson (M.Div.) After eight years as an ocean lifeguard in Southern California Brandon came to NorCAL to teach, coach, and pastor. Brandon is a visual artist, Bible scholar, and apostolic leader. He has been pastoring with The Gathering for 15 years. 

“Lifeguarding taught me how to empower people to safely navigate the beauty and dangers of the ocean while having a great time. As a pastor I get to teach people to follow the way of Jesus as they rediscover their unique design as image-bearers of God.

Kris Hurst worked 23 years as a paramedic and firefighter, has her MS in Emergency Service Admin., is a graduate of the National Fire Academy and FEMA Leadership Institute.  She is a mother and grandmother. Stewardship and legacy are core values which have led her to speak up for clarity and truth in current issues. She walks out her Christian faith as a regional and national intercessor and ministers healing and deliverance through personal prayer. She is a Kingdom practitioner (releases God's solutions into everyday life), a freedom advocate and a hope ambassador. 

Lifelong follower of Jesus, runs Loads of Love laundry for supporting our homeless neighbors, avid kitesurfer, engineer, husband, father and patriot. All of these attributes support a mindset of a strong work ethic having Christ as the center, addressing life issues with an analytical approach to best support spiritual, mental, physical and family well-being.
